Why does this happen?
RealVNC Connect can take up to 24 hours to reflect changes to your subscription, such as upgrading your plan to a higher tier (e.g. Plus to Premium) or when your subscription renews for another year, depending on when RealVNC Connect is scheduled to complete its next daily check-in.
What can I do?
You can force an update of your subscription information if you need to, within the RealVNC Connect software on the remote device(s). Please see below the steps needed, depending on the version of RealVNC Connect you are using.
RealVNC Connect v7
- Open the RealVNC Server app from the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications menu (macOS/Linux).
- Click the Menu (3 lines) button at the top right, and click on Information Center.
- In the Information Center window that appears, select the Diagnostics tab.
- Click Refresh RealVNC Services button at the bottom of the window and your subscription information will be updated.
Note that you can also force a refresh from the command line by running:
vncserver.exe -service -cloudstatus
This can be run from device management software such as Microsoft Intune to force update multiple devices.
