How do I resolve this?

There are a few things you can check to resolve update check errors in RealVNC Server.

  1. Check that RealVNC Server is able to access the Internet.
  2. If you use a proxy or internet security service, check that the required IP address for the update check service isn't blocked
  3. Check you are running a compatible version of RealVNC Server. If you are running a version of RealVNC Server older than 7.10.0, update checks are not supported due to changes made to the update check service.

If you are still unable to successfully check for updates in RealVNC Server, please contact our support team via the chat widget at the bottom right of our website and help center.
