Updates available now for RealVNC Viewer for Mobile
We have released updated versions of RealVNC Viewer for iOS and Android that ensure RealVNC Viewer shows the correct message when you have exceeded the number of sessions on your plan. This is rolling out gradually to all devices through the App Store/Play Store.
RealVNC Viewer for Windows, macOS and Linux
If you see an error message stating "RealVNC Viewer must be updated to use RealVNC services." (as shown below) when trying to connect to a remote device, this is because you have reached your plan's maximum number of concurrent sessions.
It also means you are running an older version of RealVNC Viewer, to see a more helpful message please ensure you upgrade to RealVNC Viewer 7.13.0 or later, which you can download by clicking here.
You will need to end some of your existing sessions either by closing RealVNC Viewer or using the Sessions page found in the RealVNC Connect Portal. If you need more sessions, you can add capacity at any time using the Billing page.
If you're not able to end sessions via the Portal, please see our troubleshooting guide here.
