After upgrading iPadOS to version 26 in RealVNC I cannot type anything in client machines.
Mouse works well without issues - keyboards simply doesnt reacts on any keys
Thanks for posting! This is an issue we are aware of and our team are working on an updated version of the RealVNC Viewer for iOS, which we're aiming to publish in the near future.
Please keep an eye on the App Store for an update!
Well…..it’s now June 2026, NINE months after the reply from Jack…..It’s quite obvious the iOS app is dead as far as the devs are concerned. There’s no way this problem takes NINE months to solve.
Also, follow-ups with support go unanswered.
I’ve moved to another, better app, with active support from developers. Don’t wait for RealVNC app to be fixed because it’s not happening.
We have released an updated version of RealVNC Viewer for iOS which resolves this issue. If your app has not automatically updated, please visit the RealVNC Viewer app page in the App Store on your device to manually update the app.
As part of the update, we have made the app compatible in a way that means it should work with future iOS versions without customers needing to update our app.

Hi, how far away is the update? It really slows me down as I have to keep opening and closing the keyboard to access the taskbar.
