Extend server desktop across two monitors
This old guy is confused. I have done a lot of searching, but have not found info about this setup.
Installed Server version 7.13.1 on Windows 11 PC. The server PC has dual monitors and its desktop spans these two monitors. When I connect to the server using my remote PC (which also has dual monitors and extended desktop), the display on the remote/client PC presents the RealVNC connection with one window with one very wide display of the server PC desktop.
How can I get the server's desktop (that very wide window) to span across both remote/client monitors? I have looked at the 'switch monitor' feature in the client's toolbar. While this apperas to work, it does not utilize both client monitors. [I have tried 'single monitor' and 'allMonitor' settings but neither accomplishes the objective.]
Is what I want 'doable' and how can I do that??
Remember: I am an old guy, so simple and step-by-step is wonderful!!

If I understand you correctly, you have an "app in a window" on the Server system, which crosses over both monitors as a wide displaying view (2 monitors wide).
I have moved onto V8 server / clients and this may not work on V7, but the first attempt I would try is to do the same effect on your client monitors... that is, use the Windows "window" controls (top right) to "restore down" the RealVNC viewer window. The double-square icon (next to the [X] close icon), to make the window NOT full screen, but a resizeable window on your client/viewer PC. Then I would resize this across both monitors (ie. drag it out across both), so that you don't automatically make it touch the edges of the screen. That way, Windows doesn't try and "set" it in as a single-screen-window on 1 of the monitors. As a loose large window (sitting in the middle of the screens) it should be able to sit across both monitors (if in "resizeable" mode).
From there, it's whether or not V7 client/server combo allows the server double-screen (both monitor view) to be replicated across the large window width on the client? I say this, as it could have some internal restriction or width limits? I haven't tried recently, but that's what I've done to see wider views on my client at times.
Unfortunately, the... "odd" choice of Window manipulation methods that RealVNC went for in V8, it's a bit painful and not so friendly to play with either the client or server window set ups now?
