Changes
NEW: Teams using Entra ID SSO can now authenticate device connections with their Entra credentials. Admins can configure this through the application policy and manage access using Entra ID groups.
NEW: A new parameter (DisableQueryConnectAtLockScreen) prevents incoming connection prompts from being shown while the machine is locked (Windows only). This is an advanced parameter and requires enabling to use.
NEW: You can now display a custom image on the screen-blanking overlay on Windows, along with connection details showing the connecting user and IP/cloud address.
NEW: Additional audit events are now generated, including file transfer, session recording, and chat start/end events.
NEW: Customers using the Management Console will be able to utilise the Web Viewer functionality with a compatible server. Web Viewer is a browser-based Viewer that allows connections directly from within a web browser.
NEW: When deploying an OPC-enabled server the SSL certificate will not need to be stored on the same device if the Management Console using the HTTP certificate endpoint in order to be registered.
IMPROVED: Unlicensed devices will not be disconnected from the Management Console. When a device becomes unlicensed the OPC registration details will be retained for 28 days before they are deleted
IMPROVED: Improvements to the Code Connect dialog on RealVNC Server v7.
FIXED: The user agent string used for HTTP and RFB now correctly reports Windows 11.
FIXED: Screen Blanking now correctly re-applies after unlocking a macOS desktop, rather than only taking effect on the following log in.
FIXED: HDR / "automatically manage colour for apps" displays now capture correctly with DirectX Capture, instead of appearing black in Viewer when connecting to a mixed 8-bit/10-bit-HDR multi-monitor setup.
FIXED: A connection failure reported by a proxy is now treated as an upstream node failure, so affected apps correctly try another node instead of repeatedly retrying the same one.
FIXED: Registry permissions on the RealVNC licenses key are no longer too restrictive for User Mode, so a regular (non-admin) user can read the applied offline license without requiring manual permission changes.
