RealVNC Server can be configured to limit the amount of time a VNC Viewer can stay connected. This can be configured as either an inactivity timer, using the IdleTimeout parameter, or as an overall session time using the ConnTimeout parameter.
Limiting inactive session time
By default, RealVNC Server will automatically disconnect a VNC Viewer after 60 minutes of inactivity.
You can change this using the IdleTimeout parameter by setting the number of seconds that sessions are allowed to be idle for. The IdleTimeout is found in the Expert section of RealVNC Server's Options.
You can also disable the timeout, by either setting IdleTimeout to a value of 0, or using the checkbox in the Privacy section, as shown below.
Limiting overall session time
You can configure an overall session time using the ConnTimeout parameter by setting the number of seconds that sessions are allowed to last. The ConnTimeout is found in the Expert section of RealVNC Server's Options.
