Changes

The main focus for this release is improving the installation process, particularly focused on improvements to the SSL certificate setup process.

  • NEW: The Management Console installer now has the option to generate the SSL certificates so customers will no longer need to generate and provide their own.
  • NEW: The Management Console installer will let customers select if they want to utilise HTTP endpoints for retrieving the SSL certificate if it is generated by the installer
  • IMPROVED: For customers using installer-generated SSL certificates, there is now a page where they can download their certificate from, as well as view instructions for registration if they are using HTTP.
  • IMPROVED: If the customer is not using HTTP, the SSL Certificate will be available to download from the deployment page in the Management Console.
  • IMPROVED: The Management Console installer now prevents you from continuing if the Postgres username field’s format is invalid.
  • IMPROVED: The URL for the Management Console is available in the final screen of the installer that can be used if the auto-launch of the Console fails.
  • FIXED: The Management Console service no longer gets stuck in a loop if the application fails to start.

Important update for existing On-Prem Management Console customers

For customers who have versions 1.0.0, 2.0.0 or 2.1.0 of the On-Prem Management Console, we recommend updating to the 2.2 version of the On-Prem Management Console, as this version has the foundational support for an update version of the Installer.

This means that when moving from version 2.2.0 to a future version you will not be required to uninstall and reinstall the On-Prem Management Console.

Instructions on how to update the On-Prem Management Console version 2.2 can be found here.
