The quickest way to update your RealVNC Connect apps is to download and run the RealVNC Connect Installer which will update all RealVNC Connect apps:

Do I need to restart my computer after updating?

No, the update will restart the relevant services used by RealVNC Connect. If you have the RealVNC Connect app open, you will be prompted to re-launch them as part of the update process.

Can I update RealVNC Connect remotely?

Yes, RealVNC Connect apps can be updated remotely, including when connected using RealVNC Connect. If you are connected using RealVNC Connect, your session will be briefly interrupted during the update process while the update restarts necessary services but you will be automatically reconnected once the update is complete.

Why did my update fail?

If you already have our RealVNC Connect unified app installed then you will be unable to install RealVNC Connect Viewer or RealVNC Connect Server. You will need to uninstall the RealVNC Connect unified app before retrying the installation.

Please note, your configuration settings will be cleared when uninstalling the application.
