Transferring Files Between My Device and a Remote Device in v8

When connected to a remote device, click the File Transfer button in the toolbar (only available if your subscription supports file transfer).

In the File Transfer window find the file you want to transfer.

Note, you cannot select multiple select multiple items for transfer, but both individual files and folders are available for selection.

The File transfer window consists of 2 sections: Local Device on the left, Remote Device on the right. The path to the file and navigation buttons are available in both sections to help you browse the file structure.

On the device where your target file is located navigate through the file structure to find the file.

On the destination device open the folder where you want the transferred file to appear.

Click on the file you want to transfer and then click the Transfer to Remote or Transfer to Local button, as required.

You can also click on the target file and drag it to the destination folder. (Note that destination folder has to be opened, dragging the file over the folder name will not work.)

You can see progress of file transfer in the Transfer Queue tab.

The History tab shows all the previous file transfers. Deleting a file from History applies only to the history record, not to the file itself.

Once the transfer is complete you will see the file in the destination folder.
