How do I enable notifications for RealVNC Server for iOS?

To ensure RealVNC Server for iOS is fully functional, you will need to ensure that Notifications are enabled for the RealVNC Server app, as well as during screen sharing sessions.

RealVNC Server app settings

To enable Notifications for the RealVNC Server app, please follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Scroll through the list on the left hand side, and tap on the RealVNC Server option then tap Notifications

  3. Tap the Allow Notifications switch to enable it

Screen Sharing settings

In addition to enabling Notifications for the RealVNC Server app, you must also enable Notifications to be displayed during Screen Sharing sessions to successfully accept or reject incoming connections to RealVNC Server.

To enable them, please follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device
  2. Tap Notifications on the left menu, then tap Screen Sharing

  3. Tap the Allow Notifications option to enable it

Allowing RealVNC Server notifications during Focus/Do Not Disturb mode

To enable Notifications for the RealVNC Server app whilst Focus/Do Not Disturb mode is enabled please follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device and select the 'Focus' option.
  2. Select the mode that you wish to apply the setting to - in this example we will select 'Do Not Disturb':



  3. Tap 'Apps'



  4. Ensure 'Allow Notifications From' is selected and then tap 'Add'



  5. Search for and select 'RVNC Server'
