Hi Ronald,
Thanks for getting in touch. Are you connected to the computer using RDP when you see this issue? If so, this would explain why you are only able to access User Mode, which happens when you manually run vncserver.exe
To access Service Mode, you will need to ensure the VNC Server service is running in Services.msc, and that it is licensed using the License Wizard. You can launch the license wizard as shown here: https://help.realvnc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003514492
If you're still not able to connect after this and your subscription is eligible for support please submit a support request here and we'll be happy to help! https://help.realvnc.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Kind regards,
Jack
Yes you are correct I had to reinstall using team viewer then i was able to set all the server Issues and password this was driving me crazy.
Thank you Jack. It was driving me crazy too that the VNC Server GUI would not start when connected to my computer via RDP, with no error on the screen, at the command prompt, or in the Windows Event Viewer. When I physically connected to the machine, then the VNC Server GUI started just fine. I'm glad I was able to find your post above because I had wasted a lot of time trying to solve this mystery. Thanks for your help.
