Display current user(s) connected to a remote session
Feature desired is a method to display whether another user is currently connected to remote workstations from the VNC-Viewer dashboard, and also show the specific user that is remotely accessing that workstation. In practice, when users see there is someone connected to a workstation, they either select another workstation or message that user to see when they will finish their work. How we get around this now is by having a shared spreadsheet where users enter there name next to a workstation when they are using it, and clearing the field when they are finished. When using RDC, the first user is kicked off. VNC gets around this, but then you still end up with two users on the same workstation, which is not the ideal state.
Comments
To add, I understand it IS a current feature that connected users are notified if a second user connects. However, we are using a direct-connection rather than cloud-connection and the list of connected users only shows the IP address. Is there a way to show the actual user name based on the login credentials of the VNC-Viewer instance that was used to connect?
