VNC server is not currently listening for cloud connections

I tried all the suggestions listed here https://help.realvnc.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4412477244049--VNC-Server-not-currently-listening-for-Cloud-connections-?input_string=VNC%20server%20is%20not%20currently%20listening%20for%20cloud%20connections

and I still cannot connect to the PC. I can connect to other PCs in the same office via cloud connections (Win 7 and Win 10).

PC Firewall is disabled. My viewer lists the PC with the others listed for cloud connections. The PC is listed on my team page a realvnc.com and the server has been uninstalled and reinstalled. My antivirus (Sentinal 1) does not show it blocking the connection

Thru VPN I can connect to the PC via IP address and from other PCs in the office.

Any other suggestions?

  • I am having the same issue with multiple PCs.  Seems like their service is the issue.

  • I put a call into support also and have not heard anything back.  Their support options are very lacking.

  • According to the Service Status under "Help" in VNC Connect they have a failure in one of the datacentres which has been identified and the "net work provider is working on a solution"?

  • Same issues here - although oddly I was briefly able to log into one computer (happens to be at my same location) - and then logged in again though it was very slow to reply.  THAT computer the VNC Viewer actually had credentials - but hoping they are getting this resolved.

  • It's very odd.  I have about 20 computers using VNC.  Some can get in and some can't.  Doesn't make sense.

  • Looks like they have identified a problem and are working to restore....  At least some progress announced.  Thankful for that.  But looks like I need to set up an alternate path for this on a key server.

    Hi James,

Thanks for contacting RealVNC, I'm sorry that no agents were available to take your call. We are aware of connectivity issues at one of our regional datacenters (US East) which is affecting VNC Connect's cloud services for some customers. We are working with our network providers on this issue as a priority.

We will provide an update once the connectivity issues are resolved.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

    Kind regards,

    Jack N

  • And I actually put in the call yesterday at 3pm and they are just responding.  Not very good support unfortunately.

  • Looks like a big change - I can get to my machines.  Stranger thing - I could get to my MAC, but none of my windows machines.  I have a feeling that the MAC server has a different nomenclature (but just a theory).  Still need to find an alternative / backup route for this.

  • All of our services (Windows machines) appear to be back up and running ok.

  • Services were back on Saturday too. It was just weird that some of my PCs had this issue and others did not. All in the same office on the same switch.
