Guest access

Hi,

I trying to connect with the guest user.

I opened the right ports for vnc.

Set the guest user to normal permissions and enable Guest user access.

I typing in user: "guest", without a password.

The error I getting is: "either the username was not recognised or the password was incorrect"

I didn't change any configurations, in my other server is working good.

    Which version of VNC Server do you have installed?

    Hi Jack,

    The version of VNC server is 6.8.0.45849-1

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks. Can you try upgrading to VNC Server 6.9.0 please? There was an issue on some systems where VNC Server would try and use the OS' guest account instead of VNC Server's guest.

    thanks for your advice, it was very helpful.

    after I upgraded the version, I succeed to connect with a Guest user without a password.

    Hi Jack,

           Hope you are doing well!!

    Using VNC Server 6.10.0 (r47347) x64 licence edition, still not able to see Guest User option. Pls suggest how to enable this.
