screen of viewer doesn't open after connection

This is the home version with my two raspberry pi4 (Server) and MacBook Pro (Viewer)..When I use the "A" RPi4 the Viewer to connect to RPi4 and its touchscreen works.  But when I go headless, the connection works but the message says "cannot currently show desktop".  For "B" the connection works and the screen comes up but it's too large so I can't access any commands.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
