Google Play will not install viewer on Android 10 tablet

I have a tablet that runs Android 10 but cannot install the viewer. Google Play lists the device as MTK6797 Android and states "This item is not compatible with your device." It does not say why. The tablet kernel version is 3.10.72. How do I find out what causes this device to be not compatible or what is needed to do to make it compatible?

    I've tried that already, but also did it again in case the file had been updated. When I try to open the .apk with the Package Installer, it opens a dialog box, "Parse error - There was a problem parsing the package." There aren't any other options provided.

     
    Open to suggestions...

    Hi Mark,

    Are you running a standard version of Android 10 or are you running a fork/rooted version?
