Connect V8 : Windows 10... I didn't think you could make FILE TRANSFERS "worse", but you managed to?

Connect V8 : Windows 10 Viewer to Windows 10 Server... I hate to hate, but Versions 7 (previous) had the poorly implemented "copy & paste" of remote server files to my local Viewer PC (from a file directory, even multiple files). This was unpleasant at times to use, due to locked files if the end user had them open... but, it worked for quick and simple requirements.

Connect 8 seems to have removed that function, I assume due to your amazing new File Transfer function... which unfortunately makes it all the more complicated and difficult than this operation should be (and was previously).

Issues :
By making (I assume) an OS generic file transfer layout, which doesn't take advantage of "Windows" file explorer built in methods (or other OS's) - you have stepped backwards in time to Windows 95 (almost 😆).

* It doesn't allow "copy & pasting" of file directory paths into either local or remote folder locations.

* It doesn't recall the last folder locations, so it always resets to the current "User" folder.

* It is not taking advantage of "Windows" quick/favourites type settings in the file explorer (means finding where those items actually are in the directory structure.. fine... oh yeah, can't copy it, so have to traverse folders any way.  Wait... that means, up arrowing to the "drive" locations, then switch to the other drive I needed (as it's not the OS drive), then traverse down the path to the file I needed).  For example, perhaps you need to include some sort of "quick folder" list for all systems, so that regular access to a remote server can include some added in folders that might always be required to go to. Makes much easier.

* I had hoped you would have included a "< -- > Switch sides" button in between the folder directories of local & remote... as I do more "remote to my PC" type transfers. When I view your layout it feels wrong... just preference but may be a thing for others as well?

* I don't see any way of resizing the "transfer" pop up window? Annoying!

* It might be handy to show the logged in user on the remote system (and local?) besides the Computer reference name.  Also, it would make sense to make the "Local" & "Remote" reference labels above the file/folder lists layout and make it bigger and bolder to see more easily which is what side of transfers.

* There doesn't seem to be a multi-select option using CTRL or SHIFT across the file lists? Fail!

Missed opportunities :
* The current session of transfers could keep the listed files transferred during that session on the "transfer queue" section.  It could then show a tick for success, and it goes "greyed out" to show it's complete. Long transfer files would be showing the status of 50% complete and then processed and completed at end. It gives an immediate session reminder of what's been done... instead of having to flip over to the "History" tab and see what was transferred so far or correctly?

* Selecting the files in History, seems to do nothing?  Surely, a link to the local (or remote) location would be a very helpful function for users? That said, you remember which file has been selected (for some reason?) even after switching back to Transfer queue tab?  But, you list the "history" down the page list, adding to the bottom of list, yet you then reset the list display point back to history 1 item. So, if wanting to check most recent files you have to scroll down to the bottom of the list again... and see that strangely "highlighted" file that you may have clicked, but not helping with the interface usage?  Perhaps it should be reverse order, seeing as you don't provide any sort capabilities in the headings?

* You have a refresh function on the file lists, but not other helpful items?  Perhaps a tracking mechanism of which files have been transferred (either way) during the session. You could add some tracking data to the list, which is displayed along side items in the loaded file/folder list... so that it highlights or has an icon that shows something. It might just react with a popup showing the latest transfer and time or you could show multiple instances of copying, etc.

* What about a "preview" mode for when highlighting a file in the local or remote folder/file lists... just like every OS can do now days??  This provides an immediate view of a file to ensure it's the correct item.

* How about a simple OS "context sensitive menu" option (right mouse concept), to allow the queuing of files using the remote (or local) file system standard tools?  ie. any app that uses the system "file explorer" method  (ie. Explorer/Finder/Nautilus) could be utilised to "right mouse click" on a file to bring up the usual local file action menu, and there is the "RealVNC : Add file to transfer queue", along side the quick-transfer option of "RealVNC : Transfer files to Viewer PC".  It either takes a single file or using the standard OS multi-select tools within the context system, it could provide multiple files to the "transfer function?

.....There are so many other items for what it could have been.  "File Transfers" are a thing... it's 40 years of history in the making on "how to do it right".
