Stored “picture quality” (& monitor set up) for different Server systems (on iPad, but valid on any Viewing system)

RealVNC Connect V8 (March 2025) now supports various settings per server connection, which I think covers off on various items I previously wanted.

------ Existing request ------------------------------------------------
Using an iPad to connect to various remote (Server) systems and I would like to see the “picture quality” setting (and an updated “multiple monitors”) option on the launch page of the App. So, when I see my 5 server systems waiting for connection, the (i) icon on each thumbnail could be selected and besides basic Name and details, it would have the desired “picture quality” on connection, plus choices for multiple monitor remote systems (of which screen/s are displayed). This would of course translate into the live connection toolbar, so a live (i) change to settings could also set the picture quality & monitor set up… and then also allow it to be saved back to the launch screen (like the Thumbnail can be updated or not… so could these specific settings). This allows more flexibility in systems that need streamlined data flow by keeping resolution low and perhaps to 1 screen, but other systems that can handle the High quality and all monitors.

  • Also… :-}. … whilst playing around in the “launch page” code and thumbnails, how about adding some actual helpful information, like the last valid connection session date/time (of exiting that system?)… and by who?
