VNC SERVER WON'T START

I have been using VNC for years. Ever since they switched to the paid subscription I have only been able to use my server a couple times. Now VNC server will not auto start or start at all in the system. I have tried and keep getting a error 1067. I have reinstalled a number of times and still nothing. I am running windows 11. Mind you this was working just fine until my payment was made.

This is something we have seen on some older Windows installations and caused the Server to not start correctly. We believed this had been resolved on the Microsoft side with a subsequent Windows Update, so can you please ensure your systems are fully up to date?

If Windows is fully updated and you still experience this issue, a workaround is to disable the remote printing feature in RealVNC Server. You can disable remote printing by following these steps:

    Open Registry Editor
    Navigate to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\RealVNC\vncserver
Create a new String value named EnableRemotePrinting
Set it to a value of  0
    Try starting RealVNC Server again

  • I am having the same issue. We are managing 45 Meeting rooms with Poly Microsoft teams and I have installed VNC server 7.11.1 on a few Lenovo thinkcentre pc's, HP elite and Dell Optiplex 7080.

I have been checking daily if I can connect to all rooms and seem to lose connection on only a few.

One specific room has the new Poly HP elite mini pc for Microsoft Teams and keeps losing connection.

The Dell Optiplex always loses connection. If i reboot PC i might get connection.

I have some rooms running the 7.6 version with no issues.

Most rooms i can see the VNC icon at the bottom right of each PC, some i can't and don't know if Server is running. but i can connect via Real VNC Viewer

If anyone knows how to fix, please let me know

  • Mac Studio.  Using VNCserver  for years.  Was running a while ago and it suddenly stopped.  Re-installed and nothing happens when Launch comes up or when I selected the app.  Help, I really depend on this thing for my work.

  • A client had this problem and we were able to solve it by installing an older version of VNC Server.

Apparently the latest version of VNC server has some kind of conflict with the most recent Windows updates. Uninstall the current version and download an older version.

It's not a REALVNC site, but the older versions can be found here:
