Switched to Lite plan, and I added Dad's Windows computer but can't add my Mac mini

I have repeatedly tried to add my Mac mini to the new team. It adds a device to the address book--which doesn't work--but refuses to add the Mac mini. I have gone through the RealVNC Connect setup on the Mac mini multiple times, and verified that I've followed the "Additional instructions for macOS Servers." It refuses to add a connectable server. I only have 3 of the 5 devices, so that's not the problem.
