Ditto. Just changed from "Home" to "Lite" and would like to delete the old "Home" team (also, to get rid of nag banner about changes to Home subscription)
Yes, I can't find a way to delete my now-empty old team that contained the "surplus" computers which were on my Home account but I couldn't migrate to my new Lite because of its lower number of computers per team.
This needs to be a FAQ - the RealVNC people should have catered for this situation.
Yeah they apparently don't realize we have commercial accounts separate from personal accounts. But when you try a money grab on the personal/free account front you're going to make me think hard about whether the commercial accounts are worth retaining.
Same. Forced to create a new team under the Lite subscription, and now left with an old empty team with a nag banner. How do I remove the old defunct/useless team? Deleting a team seems like a pretty basic CRUD operation when you force people to group their servers into teams.
Same - hopefully this thread will get updated when there's a way to delete a team.
Since I'm here, the "upgrade" process was an abomination - no advance notice (to me at least), no explanation that there was ANY free option ('Lite") until after I purchased an "Essentials" account for $45/yr that didn't include more than 2 computers; worst of all, no way to migrate old "servers" to the new account ... I had to HIRE A HUMAN to go to a computer 2000 miles away to install the new "server" software. If there were a prison for bad marketing and planning executives, the VP of Real VNC deserves to be incarcerated there. ;)
Seems you can leave teams if you're not the owner, if you are then you're SOL. Even if there are no devices in the team https://manage.realvnc.com/en/profile
You also can't transfer ownership to another person.
I used the chat-bot to find this out (which is a lie, the teams were absolutely NOT deleted..)
It isn't currently possible for you to delete a team yourself, but our Support team can do this for you.
If you are enquiring about deleting a Home team, you do not need to take any action. Your Home team will be automatically deleted after the 17th of June.
To request that we delete a team on your behalf, please raise a support ticket at the link below and we’ll be in touch.

Sorry to say this is not correct. The accounts were LOCKED on 6/17, but this is 6/27 and the Team still appears in my interface. I'll request deletion from Support and see what happens.
Let us know how it goes. I have a horrible feeling that RealVNC haven't thought the process through and we're all going to be left with empty teams and a permanent nagging message in Viewer.
Hi, Thanks for contacting RealVNC. All Home teams will be automatically deleted in the near future, so I will place this ticket on-hold and we will confirm once your Home team has been deleted.
Being cynical, I wonder how many people will discover that their "full" Lite team gets deleted and the "empty" Home team remains...
I've very clearly named my teams "<name>'s Team" and "<name>'s Team (Home)" so let's hope they identify them correctly and delete the correct one.
Pete, can you post a follow-up when you notice that your Home team has been deleted, so the rest of us know when to expect that theirs will be disappearing too.

I've named my team "Dead" and "Pete's team" 🤣 if they mess up I'll be shocked!
I imagine they're going to run something that bulk deletes any team with the license type of "Home", so it should be fine & also happen for everyone about the same time, but yes I'll definitely update this post when I hear back from them
I found another solution for my needs. I’ve started using a product from NordVPN called Meshnet- it basically creates a secure LAN with your named devices. I added my home PC to my Nord account and now I can RDP to it without any other configuration (including no mucking about with my home firewall). I pay for Nord but the Meshnet was a free add-on, so no additional cost to me, and I fixed my problem before I had to hit the road again.
The Lite version of RealVNC seems to work fine for me. Apart from the reduction from 5 to 3 cloud-connected computers (plus directly-connected Raspberry Pis) it's identical to the previous Home version.
The nagging message at the top of the Viewer home screen (the one which lists all the computers) is annoying but not really a problem - after a couple of weeks of seeing it, it's just part of the "furniture" of that screen. I'll be glad when they remove it, together with the empty Home team, but I can live with it for the time being.
When I created a Lite team to replace my Home team the process messed up and created two Lite teams, so now I have 2 unused teams that I want to delete 😆
Edit: asked support and they removed both of my unused teams 👍
I never did get the Lite version of RealVNC to work, it kept nagging me to upgrade the old team.
You have to create a new team. Your original team is licensed as "Home." You can upgrade it to a paid license, or you can create a new "Lite" team and start over.
Incredibly annoying, and a real d**k move on RealVNC's part, especially since a lot of us relied on this service to manage our Raspberry Pis.
I'm looking into the NordVPN service that Nathan Carlson shared above.

What a mess!
I've had a response on my support ticket:

Please delete the following Team from my account:
"Team DWB"
Thank you.
