Can connect from WAN, works on LAN
I'm trying to connect to RealVNC running on my Raspberry Pi (I have two of them). If I'm home and I try to connect locally on the LAN, it works fine. If I'm not home, I can't connect. I'm using Windows 10. I have port forwarding setup in my router at home to go to port 5900 or the RPis. I tested whether I could ping the RPis ports from outside my house. I used windows powershell and the Test-NetConnection and it was successful. So I don't think its my ISP or router. Any suggestions?

I would recommend using cloud instead of port forwarding - if you're using it at home they have a free Lite subscription https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/plan/lite/
I tried that and it worked. Thanks! I forgot RealVNC had that cloud option
