Status of RealVNC Viewer support for macOS Sonoma
What's the current status of macOS Sonoma support for RealVNC viewer. I can see there were some initial problems, and also note that Sonoma is not listed yet as officially supported. I've been holding off on my Sonoma upgrade because of this.

Hi Alley,
Thanks for contacting RealVNC. Support for macOS Sonoma has been introduced with the release of RealVNC Viewer and Server 7.9.0, with the note that there is a known issue affecting the remote printing feature which we are working to resolve.
Thanks,
Jack N
I don't have a "printing issue" but a screen-sharing issue.
VNC Viewer used to happily connect to a remote Mac, even using Sonoma, but the VNC screen share now fails after the remote device reboots, as a new boot pop-up presents:
Hi Steve,
I don't see this on my Sonoma install, it's an M1 Mac Mini. Which version of RealVNC Server are you running, and do you see vncagent enabled still in Settings?
Are you running the 14.4 beta? I've just found this post on another forum https://support.jumpdesktop.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/23796182773133
Hi all,
To follow up on what Jack said, this does unfortunately appear to be a change in macOS Sonoma 14.4 that causes it to show an additional prompt whenever vncagent starts, due to the API RealVNC Server/vncagent currently uses to capture the screen of the macOS.
I have referred this to our team and we're going to investigate, but this is potentially something that Apple will change before the official release of 14.4. Nonetheless, we are investigating and aiming to have a resolution ahead of the public release of macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Kind regards,
Jack N
