vnc4server replacement?

On Ubuntu 22.04, there is no "vnc4server" package in the apt repository like there was in previous versions.  Using apt, I have options of installing tigervnc-standalone-server, tightvncserver, or x11vnc

Which of those are closest related to the vnc4server package from earlier apt repositories?

I used vnc4server to support various command line options not available in other packages, for example I start vnc with:

vnc4server -depth 16 -geometry 890x715 -idletimeout 1200  -BlacklistTimeout 0

  • RealVNC's VNC Server can do this, but you need a paid subscription that enables what they call "Virtual Mode".
