When I open the VNC viewer on my MacBook Air, it shows 'Permission denied

I am using macOS Catalina 10.15.7. I have installed VNC Viewer and VNC Server applications on my Mac. When I open VNC Viewer, it shows 'Permission denied.' I have attached screenshots

    I've seen this before when the permissions on my home directory got messed up somehow

    I fixed it by running this command, which makes sure my user account owns my home directory:

    sudo chown $(whoami) $HOME
