Mouse Cursor Issue

On some computer connected to the vnc, the mouse cursor is a small black rectangle (even on the screens of those computers, not just when connecting from afar).

I have tried many things, the last of which is disabling the option - if there is no mouse use a small rectangle - at the preference menu, but it caused the cursor to disappear all together.

I don't get it, if it doesn't "see" a mouse how can it allocate the tiny cursor correctly. Can you help me fix it?
