[solved] Trying to active Lic on Fedora 38 gets "Administrative Privileges are required for this operation"

It pops up with an su terminal in which its prompting for a password.
I enter the sudo password, it blinks out for a few seconds then a red message appears on the GUI saying:
"Administrative Privileges are required for this operation"

(Gnome with Xorg)

Any ideas on what may be happening?

    figured it out.

     

    Had to reset the "su" root password

    sudo passwd root

     

    then when prompted for the password, used that.
