  • Cannot connect from any of 5 computers to any other.  Connection fails after time out.  For awhile VNCServer would disconnect from RealVNCServices.  Had to restart the service.  Computer would then disconnect soon after.  This was true of all computers, but now this behavior has abated.  Also tried direct connect to computer IP on same subnet (192.168.1.xx) -- still failed.  Tried removing one computer from VNC Team and and repolacining server 7.6.0 with 7.5.0, then 6.9.1 -- no help.

  • Same issue. Under messages it says "Temporarily disconnected from RealVNC services.

A networking error has prevented VNC Server from contacting RealVNC services.

VNC Server will reconnect to RealVNC services as soon as network connectivity is regained. If this problem persists, re-register VNC Server or contact RealVNC technical support.

  • I still can't connect from either my cell phone on the cell network nor from my computer through my ISP.  I can ssh.  Doesn't help though, I would like to look at some video. :(

  • Let's ask ChatGPT:
The error message you're encountering, "Hosted Bootstrap error: No more Bootstrap servers," seems to be related to VNC (Virtual Network Computing) server software. VNC is a remote desktop sharing protocol that allows you to access and control a computer's desktop environment remotely.

In the context of VNC, "Bootstrap servers" typically refer to servers that help initiate and establish connections between VNC clients (remote machines that want to access a desktop) and VNC servers (machines whose desktops are being shared). Bootstrap servers play a role in the initial setup of a connection, allowing the client to locate and connect to the appropriate VNC server.

The error message you provided, "No more Bootstrap servers," suggests that the VNC server you're trying to connect to is experiencing a problem where it has exhausted its available Bootstrap servers, meaning there might not be any servers left to facilitate new connections. This could be due to various reasons:

    1. **Server Overload**: The VNC server might be overwhelmed by too many incoming connection requests, leading to the exhaustion of available Bootstrap servers.

    2. **Network or Configuration Issues**: There could be network issues or misconfigurations that prevent the VNC server from properly establishing connections with Bootstrap servers.

    3. **Software Bugs**: There might be bugs or glitches in the VNC server software that are causing it to mishandle Bootstrap server resources.

    4. **Resource Limitations**: The server's resources, such as available memory or network bandwidth, could be limiting its ability to handle new Bootstrap server connections.
