Mac dual logins fail with Ventura 13.3.1 (a)

I work remotely to a Mac with two logins (productivity and development).

  1. VNC Server Options not default: Authentication VncAuth, Log.
  2. Boot Mac, then don't touch it.

  3. Log in via iOS 16.4.1 (a) VNC Viewer.

  4. Select other login at upper right (fast user switching).

  5. Mac switches to other user’s login, iOS Viewer does not.

  6. To try to recover, disconnect Viewer.

  7. Reconnect Viewer, still with first Mac user.

I have completely lost control of the Mac in this scenario, needing a neighbor to come reboot.

If you have made this work, can the Server/Viewer confusion be prevented with proper Server/Viewer option settings?
