Why is my cursor stuck in the VNC Viewer window?

This can happen if 'Relative Pointer Motion' is accidentally enabled in VNC Viewer. 

To resolve this, you need to press F8 on your keyboard (or FN + F8 on MacOS) while connected through VNC Viewer. Then untick 'Relative Pointer Motion' in the menu that appears.
