RealVNC Connect has a number of subscription options available, with different levels of features to provide a cost-effective solution no matter your remote access needs, and offers both per device and per user subscription models.

Within the subscription, there are two main capabilities: Device Access and On-Demand Assist. See What are Device Access and On-Demand Assist? for more information on these capabilities.

What's the difference between Per User and Per Device?

Per Device

Choose a Per Device subscription if:

• you want to license your subscription by the number of devices you want to connect to, with an unlimited of users
• you are connecting to managed devices, i.e. you are able to install software (RealVNC Server) onto the remote devices to make a connection to them

Per User

Choose a Per User subscription if :

• you want to license your subscription by the number of users making connections, with a fixed number of managed devices you connect to i.e. devices that you are able to install software (RealVNC Server) onto, to make a connection to them
• you want to have access to the On-Demand Assist capability, to make attended, ad-hoc connections to devices without needing to install and license software (RealVNC Server) to make a connection
