Can I connect when a device is asleep, or powered off?

No, the device running RealVNC Server must be powered on and have an active network connection to be available for connections from RealVNC Viewer.

  • It has been almost two years since Lucy's question was asked. What progress has been made to allow RealVNC to work with Wake-on-Lan (WOL)?

  • Does it work now? It works with AnyDesk ;-) . I don't want to switch.

  • Yeah, agreed....100% why would wake on lan NOT be a features in this day and age? I also would rather not switch, but my computer sleeps when i'm away for conservation, so WAKE ON LAN FOR ME IS CRITICAL..
