The AMT Server you are trying to connect to is a version <N> server. VNC sessions are only possible with AMT firmware of version 6.0.0 or above

The remote computer is running an out-of-date version of Intel AMT. Please ensure the remote computer supports Intel AMT 6.0.0 or above.

Error 0x80862505: Viewer requested an invalid pixel format

The Intel AMT computer has detected an error. Please note this is an Intel, not a RealVNC, error. In VNC Viewer Plus, navigate to Options > Display and try unchecking Adapt to network speed.

Error 0x80862000. Unsupported or inactive display adapter

The remote computer has a discrete graphics card that is taking precedence over Intel integrated graphics. Please note this is an Intel, not a RealVNC, error. On the remote computer, ensure the onboard GPU is switched on (controlled within the BIOS settings), and the display is attached to the correct adapter port.

Insufficient permissions to access AMT Server

You are trying to connect as a non-administrative user. On the remote computer, ensure the user you are connecting as has administrative permissions. You may be able to configure permissions using provisioning software, the Intel AMT web page, or Intel’s Manageability Commander tool.
The remote computer is running an out-of-date version of Intel AMT. Please ensure the remote computer supports Intel AMT 6.0.0 or above.

  • RealVNC services cannot be contacted. The error message is:

    Hosted Bootstrap error: No more Bootstrap servers

    If this problem persists, re-register VNC Server with RealVNC services or contact RealVNC technical support.
