We are aware of an issue affecting Firefox users on Ubuntu 22.04 and later that prevents them from launching URIs from the website/portal, including:
- Launching the RealVNC Connect Setup app after using either of the Sign Up or Sign In options
- Signing in to RealVNC Viewer using Azure AD SSO
- Using the Connect button on the Device Access > Computers page of the RealVNC Connect Portal
When using one of the above, users will see the below window:
While we are working on a solution for this, users should open Terminal and run the below command then try their action again:
update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications
